Artistic Director
Michael Wehrli ~ View/Hide

Michael is a long time theatre professional with 19 years experience in teaching, directing, acting, producing, and theatre administration. He has B.F.A. in Acting & Directing from Texas Christian University and since 1994 has been the Artistic and Education director for New Moon Productions Theatre Company (NMP).
His directing credits include over 70 plays in many venues in Portland Oregon and the Dallas/Fort Worth area in Texas. Also a playwright, he has written or adapted 14 full length plays (all of which have been produced) over fifty of short plays and scenes for students. Some of his favorite full length scripts are “Titanic Aftermath” (an original script based on survivor accounts), “Dracula”, “The Haunting of Hill House”, “Happy Days in Oz”, and “Snow White: The Melodrama”. As an actor, he has been seen on many stages in Dallas/Fort Worth and has made a few appearances here in Portland. His favorite roles include the Scarecrow in “Wizard of Oz”, “Hamlet” in Hamlet, The Third Man in “Baltimore Waltz”, Iago in “Othello”, Stafford in “Sisterly Feelings”, and Benedick in “Much Ado About Nothing”.
He currently works as a theatre teacher and director and continues to produce and direct shows with NMP in Portland. Michael’s classroom experience is extensive and includes teaching at: Portland Actors Conservatory, Multnomah Arts Center, Lakewood Theatre, Cathedral School, Portland Parks & Recreation, Dallas Children's Theatre, Creative Arts Theatre and School, Hip Pocket Theatre (Imagination Celebration), Odyssey of the Mind, and others. He lives in Portland with his wife Pamela Stringer and their two wonderful cats Cindy Lou and Quincey.

Sara Kennedy Adams ~ View/Hide

Sara's role in the Summer Musical Theatre Camp is as the Administrative & Producer Assistant. She is responsible for all of the camp's paperwork and the design of the posters, flyers and show programs; among many other tasks essential to the program but too boring to discuss. Sara's passion is not behind the computer screen but rather as a theatre educator and performer.
Sara teaches theatre to children ages 4-16 and has been a theatre instructor for Oregon Children's Theatre since 2002 and Portland Parks & Recreation since 2003. She has co-directed several productions at Multnomah Arts Center and has taught music courses to children ages 6 months - 3 years at EPCC. Her objective in teaching is to demonstrate how theatre can expand children's self-confidence and imagination; improve their vocalization, physicality, creativity, and ability to improvise; and inspire them to use these skills in their day-to-day lives.
Sara received a BA in Theatre Arts at Southern Oregon University. Sara is a professional actress and has appeared locally in Wonder Broads (Broad Arts), Trickster Tells This Story (Play Workshop Theatre), Kristmas Karol (New Moon Productions) & Much Ado About Nothing (Hillsboro Actors Repertory Theatre). She was the understudy for Michael Wehrli as the White Rabbit in the 2006 Summer Musical production of Alice in Wonderland at Mt Tabor Park. She was also the lead singer in the rock band, Oracle.
Sara is a proud mother of a two & 1/2 year old and has another one brewing in her belly, due in November 2008.

Tiarra Roberts ~ View/Hide

Tiarra has always had a passion for the performing arts. She started at the young age of newborn as “Jesus” in her local church Christmas pageant. Ever since she has only thrived. From church to school to community theater, Tiarra has grown and fallen even more in love with performing. Some of her performances include “Alice” in Alice in Wonderland as a sophomore in High School. Other shows include Grease, 12 Angry Women, Kentucky Cycle, and “Shakespeare’s” A Winters Tale. Her senior year of High School Tiarra starred as “Dorthy” in 42nd Street and then took to the stage in Edinburgh, Scotland performing Godspell for the Fringe Festival. Not only was she very active in her High School drama department, Tiarra also performed with her local community theater, performing in Once upon a Mattress, & Joseph & the Technicolor Dreamcoat.
In the midst of her High School performances, Tiarra also sang 3 years with the Portland Symphonic Girls Choir, touring on the East Australian Coast. She was actively taking voice lessons and sang in her schools Chamber and Jazz choir, attending Music in May and All-State Choir.
Tiarra also danced and to this day she still is. Being born in 1981 to the owner and coach of Columbia River Gymnastics Academy, Tiarra was always active in some sort of dancing sport. Having 11 years as a recreational and competitive gymnast taught Tiarra discipline and hard work, making her a fast learner. She went on to take ballet and jazz at such studios as Evergreen Dance Studio and Schell Performing Dance Studio. Later in High School she was active in her schools dance team and colorguard.
Now, being married and living in Wilsonville, Oregon with her family, Tiarra still finds the time to perform and teach. She has performed with the ShoeString Community Players as Minnie Faye in “Hello Dolly”, Cinderella in “Cinderella”, and Tsietal in “Fiddler on the Roof”. She has also performed “Of Mice & Men” with the Theater in the Grove, “Jesus Christ SuperStar “with Radiant Theater, and as the Wicked Witch in “Wizard of Oz” with New Moon Productions. Tiarra also teaches dance as various studios. One being Oregon Performing Arts Studio in St. Helens, Oregon. After taking some classes their she found it to be a wonderful start to her teaching career and looks forward to new opportunities that come her way because of it. She also hopes to keep performing and is excited with each happening God brings her way.

Kristina Armetta ~ View/Hide

Kristina has performed nationally and internationally in a wide array of musical styles. During her 7-year stay in New York, she was featured soloist at The 92nd St. Y, Mostly Mozart Festival, Abraham Goodman’s Kurt Weill Revival, NY Gilbert and Sullivan Players, Viva Voce Chamber Ensemble, PBS television and radio, and with local and regional opera companies. In the northwest she has appeared with Portland, Seattle and Eugene Opera companies where she was “Carmen”, “Waltraute” and many other favorite roles, with the Oregon, Eugene, and Salem Symphonies and as alto soloist with Portland Symphonic Choir, Oregon Repertory Singers, and the Peter Britt Festival. During her stay in Kathmandu, Nepal, she produced a song cycle and music video in support of humanitarian causes. Kristina is a member of Majek Chamber Trio (formerly with Young Audiences) and soloist and section leader at First Unitarian Church. An accomplished conductor, she has directed youth choirs and ensembles, the GAIA women’s chamber ensemble, and many student music theatre pieces. A student of Gibner King, Kristina has been teaching private voice and classes at college level since 1974 and theatre and music classes for Portland Parks and Recreation since 2001.

Rosalind Fell ~ View/Hide

Rosalind was trained extensively in dance, drama and music at the Arts Educational School and College in London, England. She went on to work in theatre in and around London appearing in shows such as ‘Babes in the Wood’, ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ as well as the ‘Terry Thomas Gala’ at Drury Lane in London’s West End. She has also performed in dance troupes and cabaret shows around England.
Rosalind has also appeared in many BBC productions for television including
‘Eastenders’, ‘Hotel Babylon’, ‘Waking The Dead’ and ‘Holby City’. As well as numerous training films for the BBC, Britannia Airways and Total, she has appeared in television commercials in England for ‘Snickers’ and ‘Frosted Flakes’ to name a few. As well as modeling for Marks and Spencer’s’ clothing, she has also appeared in print ads for Walkers Chips, Lloyd’s Bank, Vauxhall Motors (GM) and front covers of Bella Magazine.
Her teaching credits include various dance schools in London as well as summer camps here in the USA. She has also choreographed a kid’s production of ‘The Wiz’ and most recently ‘Jungle Book’ and ‘Seussical Jr.’ here in Portland.
Rosalind now lives in Portland with her husband, two children and their beagle, ‘Ringo’. Rosalind is represented by Ryan Artists.

Mary came to Portland in the fall of 2006 from Chicago where she graduated from the Illinois Institute of Art – Chicago with a B.F.A in Fashion Design. In Chicago she participated in many local fashion shows and was selected as one of ten design students to premier her designs in the Richard Driehaus Fashion Excellence Award ceremony.
In Portland she has worked for several leading theater companies including the Northwest Children’s Theater where she currently works as the Resident Costume Designer. While she thoroughly enjoys working in children’s theater, Mary has also designed such contemporary shows as The Long Christmas Ride Home and A Doll’s House (Theatre Vertigo), A Few Stout Individuals (Profile Theater Project), The Secret Garden (Staged) and Balloon Daze (Lincoln High School).
With NWCT she has designed and built Romeo and Juliet, Swiss Family Robinson, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, The Devil and Daniel Webster, Go Dog, Go!, and Sleeping Beauty.
Mary worked with New Moon Productions last summer on The Wizard of Oz and looks forward to playing in a candy shop for this year’s summer success. Her work can also be seen in the June/July performances of Les Miserables at the Broadway Rose Theater Company. She would like to thank her family and friends back home in Michigan for their endless support, love and tolerance as she moves around the country sewing her heart out.

Timothy Pirnie ~ View/Hide
A new crewmember on the New Moon production team, Tim is a former USAF avionics technician whose stations included England, S. Korea, Iceland, and exotic North Dakota. Tim traded in his wings to complete a Bachelors degree in Theatre Arts at PSU; he is currently applying to Graduate school for library sciences. Past Productions include La Boheme, Brenda Angiel Aerial Dance Company, After You, The Wedding Story, Savage in Limbo, Glengarry Glen Ross, Fight Dreams, Vinegar Tom, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Blithe Spirit, Much Ado, Lysistrata, and Barefoot in the Park.

Madeleine Johnson ~ View/Hide

Madeleine is 18 years old and a recent graduate of Milwaukie High School in Milwaukie, OR. She is a professional actress and model as well as an accomplished singer. While in high school, Madeleine performed in twelve productions and was heavily involved in all aspects of her school's drama department. She was also a member of the A Capella Choir and the Pony Pipers elite jazz ensemble. Madeleine was selected as one of twenty high school singers for the 2008 OMEA All-State Jazz Choir. Her favorite roles in high school included Marian Paroo in The Music Man, Nikki Crandall in The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, Maureen in Honk! and Catherine in Proof.
Her acting training includes classes at the Northwest Children's Theater and School, Lakewood Center for the Arts, and the two-week acting-intensive Summer Seminar program with The Oregon Shakespeare Festival in 2007. Madeleine will be attending Chapman University in Orange, California in the fall to begin earning her BFA in either Screen Acting or Theatre Performance. She is represented for acting and modeling by Ryan Artists, Inc.

Samuel Householder ~ View/Hide

Sam, 18, has been involved in the performing arts for about ten years and is a highly active and involved artist in his community. As a graduate of Milwaukie Academy of the Arts he has experience in many aspects of the fine and performing arts. Sam was heavily involved in the theatre department for all for years of high school as Thespian Vice President and Publicity Chair. Sam is a highly trained dancer with training including five years of classical ballet at Laurelhurst Studio, modern and contemporary dance, tap, jazz and Fosse. Householder continued to train in his performance art, with vocal lessons for about a year, visual arts for five years and four years of improv comedy with Comedy Sportz. Some of his favorite roles throughout high school include, the Cat in ‘Honk!’, the Writer in Neil Simon’s ‘The Good Doctor’, and Hal in ‘Proof”.
Householder has chosen to attend Adelphi University, Garden City New York, next year to Major in acting and Minor in dance earning a BFA. Sam believes the arts are a tool to shape the world, and he aspires to continue to shape himself and the world around him with them.
